Inventory Clerk

Location: West Chicago, IL (Far Western Suburbs)

The Inventory Clerk will assist Materials Management department with maintaining Packaging inventory accuracy.

Analyze variances between Warehouse and ERP systems and determine adjustments to the frequency of cycle counts as needed.

This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Maintain accurate inventory balances between Warehouse and ERP inventory systems
  • Administer cycle count program for all Packaging and WIP items
  • Inventory corrections for revision regarding to package changes (-A to -B); Pre-counts for final runs and clean up final balances after transition
  • Investigate inventory errors to determine root cause and make corrections as needed
  • Handle End of run Packaging and WIP materials adjustments in WISE/QAD systems
  • Physical counts of items used in Pharmaceutical and regular products with large variances as needed
  • Update HSMS system with all the Hold Notification Forms from weekly reworks
  • Assist and Backup Inventory Coordinator as needed
  • Other projects as assigned/required

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year of Inventory experience within a manufacturing environment required
  • Must have WMS software experience. Experience with WISE/QAD/FormWeigh is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is required
  • High school degree is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Must be highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work independently within a team environment required
  • Self-Starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs of force constantly to move objects.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, documentation; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading; and/or visual inspection.
  • Subject to noise which may cause the employee to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
