Machine Technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining production equipment while adhering to quality and safety procedures/regulations in a fast-paced work environment. They also troubleshoot, and problem solve any electrical and mechanical problems and perform all routine and basic equipment maintenance on machines.

We are hiring two Machine on the following shifts:

2nd shift: Monday - Saturday - 1:30pm - 10:00pm with OT and Saturdays

3rd shift: Monday - Saturday - 9:30pm - 6:00am with OT and Saturdays

This position may require the employee to work in excess of 40 hours per week. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.

Candidates must be able to complete and pass the skills assessment and

pass a physical and functional job screen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Requires a minimum of 2 ½ yeas of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Technician in a manufacturing environment with hands-on experience in electrical systems, hydraulics mechanical systems, programming and PLC troubleshooting.
• Fix and repair production equipment as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean work environment at all times.
• Conducting machine tear-down and rebuilds.
• Install, verify and validate all new equipment.
• Adhere to quality and safety procedures/regulations.
• Complete work assignments in a timely fashion with minimal direction.
• Recommend process improvements ideas.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in daily operations,
• Bilingual (Spanish) beneficial but not required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Highly skilled in mechanical and electrical skills required.
• Must have basic PLC knowledge and experience.
• Previous experience and knowledge in the following areas: machine elements, pipe fitting, instrumentation, hydraulics/ pneumatics, and shop safety is desired
• Prior hands-on experience with performing routine preventative maintenance
• Experience in manufacturing required; food or pharmaceutical experience, preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in LOTO, GMP’s, and safety regulations.
• Motivated to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
• Adapt to the department’s needs as changes occur.

SALARY

The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency. The minimum hourly compensation for the Machine Technician is $32.00.

• The actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon receipt of an offer.
• Compensation is determined by a candidate’s experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization.

We pay a 2nd shift pay differential of $.50 per hour and a 3rd shift pay differential of $2.00 per hour.
