The IT Support Technician provides support to end-users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Responsible for installing and supporting desktop/laptop hardware and software, computer peripherals, printers, RF equipment, portable handheld terminals, iPads and mobile devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Document user requests in our ticket system
- Provides friendly, courteous, and quality systems support for all users
- Perform general desktop/laptop support and troubleshooting tasks
- Configure Zebra printers
- iPad Setup
- iPhone Setup
- Must be available for after-hours/weekend support
- Assist with PC builds
- Create and maintain systems documentation
- Perform other assigned duties
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 1 year or less of applicable work experience within an IT environment
- Associate degree in computer science required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A+ Certification preferred
- Network + Certification preferred
- 1 year or less of all Microsoft Windows Operating systems knowledge
- 1 year or less of Microsoft Office knowledge
- 1 year or less of basic networking concepts knowledge
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team-based environment as well as individually.
- Must be detail-oriented, have good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

BENEFITS & SALARY
The minimum compensation for the IT Support Technician is $57,700 per year. The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. Compensation is determined by a candidate’s experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. Actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer.
